Complementary Activity Zone (CAZ)

The Complementary Activity Zone, or CAZ, is the operational layer of Abu Dhabi Food Hub. It brings integrated multi-temperature storage and value-addition facilities together in a single, purpose-built environment, designed to serve frozen, chilled, and ambient food products across every trading category at the Hub.

The zone is built around how food actually moves. Goods arrive, get stored in the temperature conditions they require, and pass through value-addition activities such as sorting, grading, repackaging, portioning, and processing before reaching the trading pavilions or moving onward through distribution. Dedicated facilities support meat preparation, produce handling, dry commodity processing, and the specific handling needs of each major food category. The result is a continuous, controlled flow that protects product quality from inbound dock to outbound shipment.

For traders operating in the pavilions, CAZ provides storage and value-add capacity right next door, removing the need to hold and prepare goods off-site. For logistics operators, processors, and packers, it offers a strategic base inside the region's largest integrated food trading ecosystem. For importers, distributors, and exporters, it puts multi-temperature handling and value addition in the same address as the trade itself.
